Beth is coming today! I'm soooo excited - Beth, my sister in law, is getting here today so we can both attend the Joyce Meyer Conference this weekend at the Gwinnett Center, just outside of Atlanta. It's been a really long time since I've seen any of my family, and she'll be the first official visitor to my new place (and I've lived here since April - eek!). It'll also give me a much needed break away from the screen, been pretty intense for a while now. Looking forward to relaxing, and having some fun for once..like the last time I saw her, when we were here:
See you next week!

happy friday + demetri mARTin
Made it through another week! Definitely looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning. Tonight I'm meeting up with some friends for pizza, then spending the weekend cleaning/organizing my place before my sister in law comes to visit next weekend! SO excited to have my first real visitor at my new place, it's going to be great. I've been a fan of Demetri Martin's for awhile, and happened to run across his twitter profile a couple weeks ago where he posts some of the random drawings he does. I was literally laughing out loud at some of these and thought I should share a few to start our fridays off right :) You can see them all right here. See you next week!

TypeOh! Tuesday #69
Happy Tuesday! This week I thought I would share what I ended up doing with the marks from last week. I cleaned up my two favorite sketches, and then began playing with their full names. I'm happy with how all of them turned out, but I think it's pretty obvious the mark with their names is strongest. So, this final mark will end up either being turned into a rubber stamp or a sticker on the invites..we shall see :)

Let's Swap It + Watercolors
We got some great Lettersketch news yesterday - our sketchbooks were accepted for a swap via Let's Swap It for a map from These Are Things. Check it out here, and be sure to check out These Are Things, my most favorite map makers.
In other Lettersketch news, Nina figured out our sketchbooks can double as watercolor paper. She shot a bunch of images of her process, which you can all see here, preview below :) Happy Friday!

TypeOh! Tuesday #68
Happy Tuesday! As you can probably guess, I've been super busy lately, but aside from my side project, I've been working on wedding invites for a couple getting married this December. I was asked recently to make an identity mark with their initials, R and P, so I thought I'd share my sketches/brainstorms so far. Any feedback is always welcome! Have a great day!
